We were thrilled when The Telegraph featured our life admin service recently – Lisa did a fantastic job for journalist Anna Tyzack, helping her get her life admin under control and enjoy the summer holidays rather than just surviving them!
Designed for busy parents and households, our service provides clients with their very own VA, ready to tackle to do lists and bring organisation to even the most chaotic homes.
And as Anna notes, ‘compared with many luxury services, hiring a life admin is relatively inexpensive.’
From booking appointments and organising events to researching holidays, tackling inboxes and arranging food shops, it’s all designed to make life run smoothly and free up time for the things people really enjoy.
If there’s one thing the last few years have taught us all, it’s that family and our home life are so important and time off should be time off, rather than a never ending list of chores and admin.
At Vi-VA we might be best known for helping entrepreneurs with their business needs but in fact we’ve been helping people with their life admin too since our very early days.
And for many of our clients, we do both, bringing our particular brand of expertise to all areas of their life.
Our VAs always go that extra mile to make sure they really understand exactly what makes each client tick and what matters to them – this is a crucial part of the process and does involves some investment of time as I explained in The Telegraph:
“You need to invest time upfront answering copious questions: ideally we’d have several two-hour Zoom calls with a new client, which for most people is unrealistic, so we start slowly. There’s bound to be a few teething issues, but within a couple of weeks you’ll start finding us helpful and within a couple of months we’ll be able to second-guess what you want us to do.”
One of the things I loved about Anna’s article was her honesty – she mentioned her initial struggles with delegating which isn’t uncommon with clients but Lisa and I were quick to reassure her that she’d soon realise how much time she was saving:
“People quickly come to trust us and start asking what else we can do for them – they’re always curious as to what we do for our other clients.”
So how did it all go?
At the end of her two week trial, Anna sums it up nicely, describing the many benefits of having a ‘professional wing man’ such as Lisa:
“The end of the summer is weeks away and I’m the smug parent who has bought all the books on her children’s reading lists, sorted their pencil cases for September and ordered a new stash of name tapes. I’ve booked various holiday clubs, planned fun activities and arranged a last-minute summer road trip to Austria.”
That sounds like someone with their life admin well and truly under control! If you’d like to find out how we could do the same for you, do get in touch at hello@vi-va.co.uk and start working towards getting your life back too!
